The canvases belong to the story of Demons Land. In our fiction, they are the work of the Collector (c. 1797-1819), and executed in the tradition of his contemporaries Goya, Gericault, and Delacroix. As with the larger project, the paintings superimpose different eras in single surfaces and scenes. In this way they seek to explore the very possibility of history painting today.

Paintings by Tom de Freston. 30 paintings, each 170x170cm and a shuffling grid of 81 paintings each 60x60cm.
