The Demons Land project began some years ago when we ran intensive workshops with teenagers in multi-faith comprehensive schools. These workshops were the genesis of the play, which offers the fullest version of the Demons Land story. Intertwining chorus, rhyme, song, and comic dialogue, and narrated by Dwarf, a harassed participant in the history he sees unfolding, the play moves between past and future, between competitive attempts to seize a new world to the foundering of such visions in secular apocalypse.
True to the origins of Demons Land in partnerships and collaboration, and to our commitment to adapting our project with its hosts, we welcome the opportunity to work alongside local artistic or educational communities in putting on the play.
